2011 PSWD Family Camp Saturday, July 23 - Saturday, July 30, 2011
Dear UU Families and Friends: Spending time at camp with your family and UU’s from around the district is an incredible experience. If you had a time and a place to listen to nature,to your family, to your own inner voice - what would you hear? We invite you to join us for Family Camp 2011 and find out how you can "Listen" to your heart, to your family, to your friends and to the wilderness. I am sure your children have told you how much fun it is to go to PSWD yoUUth camp, and now your entire family can enjoy camping together at PSWD Family Camp. This camp has the PSWD stamp of approval for FUN and will take place on July 23 - 30, 2011. *LISTEN!* is a camp for the entire family. You couldn’t ask for a more talented group of people on the planning team. Amy Brunnel, Super Woman and Super Camp Dean, grew up attending Family Camp at de Benneville, and has been contributing her high energy and talents to the family camp experience for many years. She is accompanied by Rev. Matthew Crary of the Riverside UU Church, and Tera Little of the PSWD executive staff. Together, they are developing a camp that will knock your socks off! You won’t find a more affordable family vacation this summer.
At Family Camp we are all about music, laughter, worship, play, workshops as well as silence. And yes - hiking swimming, relaxing, eating, recreating, canoeing, playing, arts and crafts - they are all a part of the family camp experience too! Be a part of this intergenerational UU camp. Come spend a week in the mountains sharing, reflecting and *listening!* Let’s play, sing and laugh as we explore our mountain get-away together. Lodging and meals are included. You don’t even have to make your bed or do the dishes! How great is that!
Some families are having a struggle with paying the fees for summer camp. Kids want to come, families want the UU camp experience, but parents are worried about the cost. De Benneville has made paying for camp easier than ever. A $75 pp non-refundable deposit will hold your space. You can send in a partial payment each month until camp starts. Pay any balance when you arrive to check in. Easy!	Family Camp Pricing $345/adult $305/teen (13 – 18) $295/child (3 – 12) Craig’s Cabin add $80 pp Cabin 6 add $50 pp Double bed in cabins 5, 7, 8 add $50 per room.
Summer and Camp, two things that just go together—like graham crackers and melting marshmallows or peanut butter and jelly! UU summer camps have been credited with character development—children coming into their own. So many of our PSWD yoUUth have grown up to work as counselors, workshop leaders and deans at de Benneville summer camps. Last year's camp completely sold out - so don't wait to register.
To Register for PSWD Family Camp: Please submit a $75 per person non-refundable deposit with a completed registration form or complete your registration and pay online. If registering before 4/30/11, deduct $100 from the total cost of Family Camp. T-Shirts $12 Sweatshirts $25
